Tesla Launches 11 MW Oasis Supercharger Solar Farm in California's Central Valley
Tesla has unveiled the Oasis Supercharger in Lost Hills, California, featuring an 11 MW solar farm and large-scale battery storage. Designed to support nearly 1,000 EVs daily, it integrates solar generation with Tesla's Megapack technology, allowing for off-grid operation and reducing reliance on traditional energy systems. The site includes 164 high-capacity Supercharger stalls and aims to enhance the EV charging experience while addressing infrastructure demands along the I-5 corridor.

Tesla's Oasis Supercharger in Lost Hills, California, spans 30 acres and features an 11 MW solar installation alongside large-scale battery storage, enabling it to serve nearly 1,000 electric vehicles per day. The site operates largely off-grid, utilizing solar energy generation and Tesla's Megapack systems, which provide 39 MWh of storage capacity.
With 164 Supercharger stalls, the station can handle loads of up to 15.8 MW. Oasis aims to enhance EV infrastructure by providing a decentralized, renewable-powered solution amidst increasing demand. Despite facing operational challenges, it represents a significant shift in how EV charging can be integrated with renewable energy.
