Testing of Swiss Attack and Defence Drones by Taskforce Drones
From December 8 to 19, 2025, the Taskforce Drones will evaluate the technological maturity of Swiss drones at Hinterrhein shooting range. This assessment aims to enhance military drone capabilities and foster collaboration among industry, academia, and defense sectors.

The Taskforce Drones will conduct technical trials from December 8 to 19, 2025, to evaluate small attack and defense drones at the Hinterrhein shooting range in Switzerland. These tests focus on assessing controllability, durability, and effectiveness in defined flight scenarios, utilizing drones with inert payloads.
Results will inform future capability development but do not assure follow-up procurements. The initiative, established in June 2024, aims to strengthen Switzerland's drone ecosystem, enhancing national security by minimizing foreign dependency and advancing local technological capabilities. This is critical for modern military operations, as evidenced by evolving conflict dynamics.
