Texas LNG Brownsville has signed a lump-sum EPC contract with Kiewit for its LNG export terminal at the Port of Brownsville, Texas. This agreement is crucial as the Texas LNG project moves towards a final investment decision, aiming for a capacity of four million tonnes per annum.

Kiewit will manage engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning for the facility, which is set to begin commercial operations in 2028. Recently, Texas LNG secured a 20-year deal with RWE Supply & Trading for 1mtpa of LNG and a sales agreement with Macquarie Energy for 500,000 tonnes per annum.
