Thai PM Prioritizes Border Security and Crime Prevention in Military Strategy

During a recent visit to the Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul outlined six key policy priorities for the military. These include improving military readiness through better personnel training and advanced equipment, along with a focus on border security via the Border Security Integration Center.
Anutin emphasized the need for enhanced coordination in addressing transnational crimes such as cybercrime and human trafficking. Additionally, he proposed expanding disaster relief efforts and promoting voluntary military service as an alternative to conscription.
Development of Thailand's defense industry through increased domestic production and international collaboration was also highlighted. The implications of these policies may significantly impact national security and defense capabilities.
