Thailand PM Orders Measures to Support Businesses after Southern Bomb Attacks
Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has directed urgent measures to support businesses in Thailand's southern border provinces following bomb attacks on petrol stations. The coordinated explosions damaged 11 petroleum service stations, prompting Anutin to convene a meeting with defense and security officials to discuss the incidents and ensure a rapid response.
He tasked the 4th Army Area and the 9th Provincial Police Region with enhancing security and identifying the attackers. Additionally, he coordinated with PTT for assistance to affected station operators and assigned cabinet members to explore further relief for local businesses.
The prime minister also instructed the foreign minister to monitor international developments for potential impacts on Thailand’s economy and security. Furthermore, he ordered the Interior Ministry to expedite relief fund disbursement for those affected by flooding and the situation with Cambodia.
