Thales Alenia Space, Airbus, and Radmor to Develop Poland's Military Communications Satellite
Thales Alenia Space, Airbus Defence and Space, and Radmor have signed an agreement to develop a geostationary military communications satellite for Poland. This initiative supports the EU's 'Readiness 2030' plan, enhancing Poland's defense capabilities amid increasing geopolitical tensions.

An industrial cooperation agreement has been established among Thales Alenia Space, Airbus Defence and Space, and Radmor to create a geostationary defense telecommunications satellite for the Polish Ministry of Defense. This satellite, part of the EU's 'Readiness 2030' plan initiated in 2025, will ensure secure communications for the Polish Armed Forces, featuring high resilience and robustness against cyber threats.
The collaboration will leverage each partner's expertise in military communication payloads, mission control, satellite platform design, and secure ground infrastructure. This project aims to strengthen Poland's national space sovereignty. The growing geopolitical tensions necessitate advanced communication systems for military operations.
