Thales Partners with UNHAN RI to Launch Cybersecurity Training Program for Indonesia
Thales and Universitas Pertahanan RI (UNHAN RI) have signed an Implementing Arrangement to initiate a cybersecurity training program aimed at enhancing local expertise in Indonesia. The collaboration comes in response to a significant rise in cyberattacks, with the National Cyber and Information Security Agency (BSSN) reporting 3.64 billion incidents from January to July 2025. The program will train up to 25 students, focusing on critical areas such as cyber threat intelligence and detection, with Thales providing global expertise.

Thales and Universitas Pertahanan RI (UNHAN RI) signed an Implementing Arrangement on February 24, 2026, to establish a cybersecurity training program for UNHAN RI students. This initiative addresses the rising cyber threat landscape, with BSSN reporting 3.64 billion cyberattacks from January to July 2025.
The program aims to train up to 25 students in areas including cyber threat intelligence, with classes set to begin in the second quarter of 2026. This partnership builds on Thales' 45-year history in Indonesia's defense sector and emphasizes the importance of cybersecurity for national sovereignty and economic stability.
