Thi Vai LNG Terminal Regasification Capacity Increased to 288 Tons per Hour
PV GAS has raised the regasification capacity at Thi Vai LNG Terminal to 288 tons per hour, enhancing gas supply for power generation. This increase is crucial for meeting the rising energy demands during the peak dry season in Southeast Vietnam.

PV GAS has successfully upgraded the regasification capacity of the Thi Vai LNG Terminal to 288 tons per hour, significantly above the original design capacity of 171 tons per hour. This enhancement allows for approximately 9.5 million standard cubic meters of gas per day, vital for power generation during peak dry seasons.
The trial operations were conducted with adherence to domestic and international standards and overseen by an independent inspection body. Commissioned in 2023, Thi Vai LNG Terminal is Vietnam's first and largest LNG port facility, capable of receiving LNG carriers up to 100,000 DWT. The upgrade is strategically important given the volatility in global energy markets, ensuring a stable fuel source for the national power system.
