Third Army Enhances Helicopter Mission Amid Ongoing Haze in Chiang Mai
The Third Army is intensifying aerial operations to combat wildfires and air pollution in Northern Thailand, particularly in Chiang Mai. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment is urged to provide additional resources for enhanced firefighting efforts.

The Third Army Area is actively engaged in aerial missions to address wildfires and air quality issues in Northern Thailand, specifically in Chiang Mai and Lampang. From February 13 to April 5, the army coordinated aircraft missions for patrol and fire suppression across multiple provinces, including Chiang Rai and Mae Hong Son.
Support from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment is critical for personnel and resource allocation. Over 30 law enforcement operations have been conducted, complemented by public awareness initiatives. The ongoing dry conditions suggest the air pollution crisis will persist, necessitating sustained intervention.
