Thrustworks Expands Metal 3D Printing Capacity with TruPrint 3000 System in Mönchengladbach
Thrustworks Additive Manufacturing GmbH has implemented another TruPrint 3000 system at its Mönchengladbach site to enhance production capacity for aerospace-related metallic components. This expansion is part of The Exploration Company's acquisition of Thrustworks in November 2025, aimed at consolidating manufacturing expertise in North Rhine-Westphalia for the aerospace and defense sectors.
The new machine, under the ATLIX brand, offers capabilities such as a cylindrical installation space of 300 by 400 mm and preheating up to 200 degrees Celsius. The facility combines all manufacturing processes, ensuring stability and quality for high-performance materials like C103 niobium and Inconel 718.
