TIFR Issues Tender for 177kWp Rooftop Solar Power Plant in Mumbai
The Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) has released a tender for a 177kWp rooftop solar power plant at its HBCSE facility in Mankhurd, Mumbai. Bidders must meet specific financial criteria and have prior project experience, with the tender requiring an Earnest Money Deposit and a Performance Bank Guarantee. The awarded contractor will provide a comprehensive turnkey solution, including installation and a five-year maintenance contract.

The Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) has issued a tender for the installation of a 177kWp rooftop solar power plant at HBCSE-TIFR in Mankhurd, Mumbai. Bidders must demonstrate an average annual turnover of ₹76,11,000 over the last three financial years without losses in more than two of the last five years.
Eligible bidders must have completed at least one project valued at ₹60.88 lakhs, or two projects each at ₹45.66 lakhs, or three projects at ₹30.44 lakhs. The tender requires an Earnest Money Deposit of ₹1,52,220 and a Performance Bank Guarantee of 5% of the Work Order value.
The contractor will provide a turnkey solution, including design, installation of PV modules, mounting structure, inverters, and a comprehensive five-year operation and maintenance contract. The tender is valid for 180 days, with a contract signing required within 15 days of work commencement.
