TIMAK DEFENSE Receives €10.48 Million from Albanian Government Amid Controversy
TIMAK DEFENSE has received €10.48 million from the Albanian government, despite Prime Minister Edi Rama's prior assurances that taxpayer money would not support private military companies. The payments, made shortly after a contract was signed, have raised concerns due to Ron Yeffet's controversial background and ongoing investigations into his financial dealings in Albania.

TIMAK DEFENSE, founded in August 2025, received two payments totaling €10.48 million from the Albanian Treasury in October and November 2025. The first payment of over €6 million was made on October 29, 2025, shortly after a contract was signed on October 10, 2025.
Prime Minister Edi Rama had previously stated that taxpayers would not fund private military companies. The second payment of €6.4 million occurred on November 3, 2025. Ron Yeffet, associated with TIMAK DEFENSE, has been linked to scandals in Senegal and was previously involved in corrupt activities there. Investigations into his connections and financial dealings in Albania are ongoing, raising concerns about national security and corruption.
