Toll Group Bids $12.9 Billion for UK Military Logistics Contract
Toll Group has submitted a bid for a £9.6 billion ($12.9 billion) contract with the U.K. Ministry of Defence, marking its largest overseas defense bid. The contract, to be awarded in 2027, involves inventory management and supply procurement for the U.K. military.
The project covers 180,000 product categories and 220,000 items. Toll, part of Japan Post, aims to grow its defense operations amid increasing global defense budgets. The global defense logistics market is projected to reach $47.3 billion by 2031.
Toll's defense revenue was 15% of its total revenue of about AU$5.1 billion for the fiscal year ending March 2025. The company has a history of military logistics support, having signed a $1 billion contract with the Australian Department of Defence in August 2022.
