Toshiba Launches TLX9920 Photovoltaic-Output Photocoupler for Automotive SSR
Toshiba has introduced the TLX9920 photovoltaic-output photocoupler in an SO6L package for solid state relays in automotive applications. Volume shipments commence today. The device supports high-voltage MOSFETs, enabling high-voltage and high-current switching while eliminating contact wear. It meets AEC-Q101 reliability standards and has a creepage distance exceeding 8mm, complying with IEC 60664-12 requirements for pollution degree 2 environments.

Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation has launched the TLX9920 photovoltaic-output photocoupler, designed for solid state relays used in automotive equipment. Volume shipments begin today. This photocoupler is suitable for gate driving high-voltage power MOSFETs, facilitating high-voltage and high-current switching while eliminating contact wear associated with mechanical relays.
The TLX9920, housed in an SO6L package, features a creepage distance of over 8mm and complies with AEC-Q101 standards. It meets IEC 60664-12 requirements for environments with pollution degree 2 and operating voltages of 400V or more.
