TP.HCM Signs $2.1 Billion AI Data Center Deal; Nghệ An Approves $2.5 Billion LNG Power Plant
TP.HCM has signed a memorandum with AIC to invest $2.1 billion in an AI data center in Củ Chi, expected to be operational by Q1 2027. Nghệ An has approved an investment of approximately $2.5 billion for the LNG Quỳnh Lập power plant, set to begin construction before April 30, 2026. The projects aim to boost technological infrastructure and energy capacity in Vietnam.

TP.HCM signed a memorandum with AIC on March 11 to invest $2.1 billion in an AI data center in Củ Chi, projected to be operational by Q1 2027. This facility will feature high standards for energy efficiency and is expected to support international AI computing needs.
Simultaneously, Nghệ An approved the LNG Quỳnh Lập power plant project with an investment of approximately $2.5 billion, comprising a 1,500 MW plant and LNG storage. Construction is planned to commence by April 30, 2026. Both projects aim to enhance Vietnam's technological and energy infrastructure.
