Tractebel to Enhance Environmental Efficiency at Fos Cavaou LNG Terminal
Tractebel has been selected to conduct feasibility studies for the SORBET project and detailed engineering for NOEMIC2 at the Fos Cavaou LNG terminal. These initiatives aim to significantly reduce CO2 emissions by capturing boil-off gas and automating propane injection.

Tractebel will perform feasibility studies for the SORBET project and detailed engineering for NOEMIC2 at the Fos Cavaou LNG terminal. SORBET focuses on reducing gas flares by reinjecting high-pressure boil-off gas into the national gas network (NaTran), with commissioning targeted for late 2029.
The NOEMIC2 project aims to automate the propane injection process to minimize flaring during terminal shutdowns. These projects underscore Tractebel's expertise in gas infrastructure and its collaboration with ENGIE. The successful implementation of these projects could significantly enhance operational efficiency and environmental compliance in the LNG sector.
