The UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has issued travel advisories for Turkey, Mexico, and Thailand. All travel is discouraged within 10km of the Turkish border with Syria due to ongoing fighting and terrorism threats.
Additionally, travelers are warned against non-essential travel within 20km of the Cambodia border following conflict that began in July 2025, characterized by rocket and artillery exchanges. In Mexico, travelers planning to attend the 2026 FIFA World Cup must follow FCDO guidance closely amid rising safety concerns. These advisories highlight significant risks that could affect holiday plans and traveler safety.
