Trinidad and Tobago Diplomatic Delegation to Venezuela for Energy Resource Negotiations
Trinidad and Tobago will dispatch a diplomatic mission to Venezuela to secure oil and gas resources, crucial for national energy projects. This initiative aims to advance stalled developments, addressing both economic security and infrastructure improvements amid ongoing geopolitical tensions.

A diplomatic delegation from Trinidad and Tobago will soon travel to Venezuela to negotiate access to oil and gas resources. This move is part of broader efforts to enhance economic security and improve national infrastructure, particularly in light of the importance of the Dragon gas field for the country's LNG industry.
The Loran Manatee field, which straddles maritime boundaries, is also under discussion, as Trinidad and Tobago progresses with its own development efforts. Ongoing geopolitical tensions, including sanctions on Venezuela, have complicated these negotiations. The Prime Minister emphasized the government's commitment to ensuring fair resource sharing amid historical fluctuations in bilateral relations.
