Tripura Launches Rooftop Solar Plant Initiative to Solarise District HQs
MoS Shripad Naik inaugurated a 15-kilowatt rooftop solar plant in Agartala, Tripura, initiating the state's plan to solarise all district administrative headquarters. The project, executed by TSECL under the 'Solar Sankalp' initiative, aims to install a total of 304 kilowatts across eight district magistrate offices at a cost of Rs 2.43 crore. The initiative is expected to reduce power expenses and promote environmental sustainability.

On February 27, Minister of State Shripad Y. Naik inaugurated a 15-kilowatt rooftop solar power plant at Agartala, Tripura, commencing the state's initiative to solarise all district headquarters. The Tripura government plans to install a total of 304 kilowatts of solar capacity across eight District Magistrate offices, with an estimated cost of Rs 2.43 crore.
The project, implemented by Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited under the 'Solar Sankalp' initiative, aims to enhance renewable energy integration in public institutions. The initiative is expected to significantly reduce power expenditures and promote sustainable energy practices across the state.
