Türkiye Focuses on Youth for Future National Security Strategy
Türkiye is integrating national stability with regional security cooperation, emphasizing the role of youth in achieving long-term goals. The country aims to redefine its defense strategy to address risks beyond its borders, particularly in the Balkans, Middle East, and North Africa.

Türkiye is redefining its security approach by linking national stability with regional cooperation, emphasizing that effective defense cannot be confined to domestic borders. The chairperson of the Ilim Yayma Foundation, Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan, stated that instability in neighboring regions significantly affects Türkiye’s security.
He highlighted the importance of preparing younger generations for this strategic vision, arguing that societal involvement in child development is crucial. Erdoğan noted that a decline in trust within society exacerbates risks for children and contributes to instability.
He stressed the need for Türkiye to strengthen its influence regionally and evolve its security concept to include neighboring areas. The country’s long-term strategic targets, including those set for 2023 and beyond, aim to enhance its global standing and ensure sustainable development. The rising trend of youth seeking education abroad, now at 30-40%, underscores the necessity for heightened discipline and ambition in education and work.
