Turkmenistan Exceeds 2025 Energy Production Targets with 76.5 Bcm Gas and 8.3 Mt Oil
In 2025, Turkmenistan produced over 76.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 8.3 million tonnes of crude oil, surpassing production targets. The oil refining plan was exceeded by 108.8%, with significant growth in petroleum bitumen and LPG. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized modernization, including refinery upgrades and the TAPI pipeline. There was a leadership reshuffle in the oil and gas sector, appointing Guvanch Agadjanov as Deputy Chairman overseeing the sector.

Turkmenistan's fuel and energy sector exceeded production targets in 2025, producing 76.5 bcm of natural gas and 8.3 Mt of crude oil. The oil refining plan achieved 108.8% of its target, with refined petroleum bitumen up by 26.4% and LPG by 5.2%.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov outlined modernization tasks, including upgrades to the Turkmenbashi and Seydi refineries, enhancing oil recovery, and accelerating the TAPI pipeline project. A leadership reshuffle occurred in the sector with Guvanch Agadjanov appointed as Deputy Chairman overseeing oil and gas, following the removal of Batyr Amanov.
