UAE Orders 10 Embraer C-390 Aircraft, Potential for 10 More
The UAE's Tawazun Council has contracted Embraer for 10 C-390 aircraft with an option for 10 additional units, marking the largest international order for this model. This acquisition enhances the UAE's military airlift capabilities and includes local MRO development, reflecting a strategic move towards modernizing defense operations.

The Tawazun Council has finalized a contract with Embraer for 10 C-390 Millennium aircraft, with options for an additional 10, representing a significant enhancement of the UAE's military capabilities. This deal, the first of its kind in the Middle East, will enable the UAE Air Force to conduct various missions including troop transport and humanitarian operations, while also establishing local maintenance and support capabilities through a partnership with an Emirati firm.
Embraer anticipates further sales in the Middle East, driven by the region's strategic importance and the trend of government-to-government procurements, particularly as nations seek to modernize aging military fleets. The deal is valued at approximately $1 billion, and the C-390’s operational flexibility positions it well for future market opportunities.
