UAE Solar Capacity Projected to Grow to 32.3GW by 2035
The UAE aims to increase its solar photovoltaic capacity from 6.7GW in 2025 to 32.3GW by 2035, with a CAGR of over 17%. Solar generation is expected to rise from 15.8TWh in 2025 to 75.4TWh by 2035. The expansion is supported by major projects, including Al Dhafra Solar PV and Noor Abu Dhabi Solar Park. The UAE Energy Strategy 2050 plans to invest $54 billion in clean energy, aiming for 50% of the electricity mix to come from clean sources and a significant reduction in carbon emissions.

Gas-fired capacity will grow from 44.4GW in 2025 to nearly 46GW by 2035, while nuclear capacity remains stable at 5.3GW, ensuring grid stability.
