UBTech Robotics to Supply Humanoid Robots for Border Security in China
UBTech Robotics has signed a contract valued at approximately 340 million SEK to deliver humanoid robots for border crossings in the Guangxi region of China, adjacent to Vietnam. The deployment marks a significant step in the application of humanoid robotics within Chinese governmental operations. Deliveries of the Walker S2 model, which features an innovative battery-swapping system, are set to begin in December 2026.

UBTech Robotics has secured a contract worth about 340 million SEK to provide humanoid robots at border checkpoints in Guangxi, China. This initiative represents a major rollout of humanoid robots for governmental use.
The Walker S2 model, capable of autonomously swapping its battery in approximately three minutes, will be deployed starting in December 2026. This advancement is aligned with China's ongoing strategy to incorporate humanoid robotics into various operational roles.
