UGI Utilities Launches Natural Gas Infrastructure Upgrade in Jersey Shore
UGI Utilities will initiate a natural gas infrastructure upgrade in Jersey Shore starting July 20, affecting local traffic. This project may enable new natural gas service connections for nearby residents and businesses.

UGI Utilities is scheduled to begin construction on a natural gas infrastructure upgrade on July 20, focusing on Thompson Street between Howard Street and Kerr Avenue. The project aims to enhance the safety and reliability of the gas distribution system, with completion expected by the end of July, barring weather delays.
Construction will occur Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., leading to temporary traffic and parking restrictions, particularly near key local facilities. Temporary interruptions to natural gas service are anticipated; utility workers will need to access properties for inspections and to relight appliances post-service restoration. This project also presents opportunities for homes and businesses along the route to connect to natural gas service.
