UK Business Secretary Appoints New Leaders to Industrial Strategy Advisory Council
On January 14, Business Secretary Peter Kyle appointed Amelia Gould, Keith Anderson, and Dana Strong to the Industrial Strategy Advisory Council to enhance its expertise and support key UK sectors. This independent council advises the government on implementing the Industrial Strategy, aimed at boosting economic growth and living standards.
The appointments come as the government seeks to increase investment in vital sectors. Gould has over 20 years of experience in the global defense sector and is currently General Manager, Maritime at Helsing.
The government also released a mandate letter outlining the Council's work program for 2026, which emphasizes market dynamism and improving access to quality jobs. Strong, CEO of Sky Group, and Anderson, CEO of ScottishPower, highlighted the importance of the Council in fostering long-term growth and productivity across the UK economy.
