UK Government Grants £23.4m to 20 Suppliers for Energy Saving Projects
The UK government's Industrial Energy Transformation Fund has awarded £23.4m to 20 suppliers for energy efficiency projects totaling £60.7m. Notable recipients include Molson Coors, AG Barr, Carlsberg Britvic, and Kraft Heinz, with projects aimed at reducing carbon emissions and enhancing sustainability. Funding will support initiatives like heat pump installations and advanced energy systems, contributing to net-zero goals by 2035.

The UK government's Industrial Energy Transformation Fund (IETF) has allocated £23.4m to 20 suppliers for energy-saving initiatives totaling £60.7m. Molson Coors received nearly £8.6m for heat pumps at its Burton brewery, aiming for net-zero operations by 2035.
AG Barr was granted £2.2m for a £7.3m upgrade, expected to cut gas usage by 75%, reducing CO2 emissions by 1,359 tonnes annually. Carlsberg Britvic received £33,205 for a design study on low-carbon solutions at its Leeds site.
Kraft Heinz secured nearly £1m for a cold water bean transport system at its Wigan plant, enhancing energy efficiency. The IETF, launched in 2020, has £500m available until 2028.
