The U.K. government is preparing to launch a comprehensive space strategy aimed at enhancing national security and economic growth, expected to be released in the coming weeks. Key focus areas will include satellite communications, space domain awareness, and sustainability, along with a significant investment of 2.3 billion pounds ($3.1 billion) for satellite communications and 880 million pounds for ISR through 2030.
The strategy also outlines an additional 9 billion pounds for space defense systems from 2030 to 2035. International cooperation, particularly with the United States and Japan, is emphasized as vital for the U.K.'s space ambitions.
