UK Lacks National Defense Plan Amid Rising European Tensions
Air Marshal Sir Richard Knighton has highlighted the UK's absence of a national defense plan, attributing it to funding reallocations since the 1991 Soviet Union collapse. Despite ongoing conflicts in Crimea and Ukraine, neither the Labor Party nor the Prime Minister's recent initiatives have prioritized defense rebuilding, leaving the UK unprepared for potential military conflicts.

Air Marshal Sir Richard Knighton stated that the UK's lack of a national defense plan is due to successive governments reallocating funds since the 1991 Soviet Union collapse. Despite conflicts in Crimea (2014) and Ukraine (2022), no significant action has been taken.
The Labor Party, under Sir Keir Starmer, has not prioritized defense in its agenda, nor has the Prime Minister's 'plan for change' addressed the need for national defense rebuilding. The UK aims to prepare for potential war, yet there is no substantial preparation in society for such a scenario.
