UK Sanctions Russian LNG Plants Gazprom LNG Portovaya and Cryogas-Vysotsk
The United Kingdom has imposed sanctions on Gazprom LNG Portovaya LLC and Cryogas-Vysotsk LLC, targeting their operations in the Baltic. The sanctions include asset freezes, bans on asset management services, and restrictions on vessels chartered by sanctioned individuals. Gazprom LNG Portovaya, launched in 2022, has a design capacity of 1.5 million tonnes of LNG per year, while Cryogas-Vysotsk focuses on supplying small and medium-sized LNG batches.

The UK has sanctioned Gazprom LNG Portovaya LLC and Cryogas-Vysotsk LLC, imposing asset freezes and banning asset management services. Vessels chartered by sanctioned individuals cannot enter UK ports or receive technical assistance.
Gazprom LNG Portovaya, launched in 2022, has a capacity of 1.5 million tonnes of LNG per year, supporting consumers in the northwestern region and energy security in Kaliningrad. Cryogas-Vysotsk, a project by Novatek and Gazprombank, supplies small and medium-sized LNG batches using gas carriers and tank trucks.
