Ukraine Advances Development of New Artillery, Missile Systems, and Radar Technology
Ukraine is advancing its military capabilities by developing new domestically produced artillery, missile systems, and radar technology, including the 155mm Marta towed gun and a multifunctional missile system. The upgrades also encompass enhancements to existing missile systems and the creation of a domestic version of the US AN/TPQ-36 radar for tracking enemy launches. Additionally, improvements to the Kropyva-D communications system aim to expedite the target detection-to-strike process to two minutes.

Ukraine is developing new domestically produced weapons for its Armed Forces, including 155mm and 105mm towed guns, a multifunctional missile system, and a radar station. The Rocket Forces will receive the 155mm Marta towed gun with a 39-calibre barrel, and a 105mm system is also in testing.
Additionally, three missile systems are being upgraded: the Sapsan operational-tactical missile system, the Vilkha multiple launch rocket system, and the Neptune long-range missile system. A multifunctional missile system is under development to launch various strike assets, including GMLRS rockets.
Ukraine is also creating a domestic version of the US AN/TPQ-36 radar for tracking enemy artillery and missile launches, alongside two UAV types: a target illuminator and a reconnaissance drone. The Kropyva-D information and communications system is being improved to transmit data quickly, aiming to reduce the time from target detection to strike to two minutes.
