Ukraine and Honduras Initiate Bilateral Relations Through Leaders' Meeting
Ukraine and Honduras have embarked on developing bilateral relations, focusing on technology exchange and mutual support. This meeting marks a historic first in their diplomatic ties, potentially enhancing cooperation in agriculture, defense technologies, and digitalization.

In a significant diplomatic milestone, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Honduras' President Nasry Asfura held their first-ever leaders' meeting in Kyiv. The discussions centered on strengthening ties through cooperation in agriculture, economic collaboration, and digital transformation, with Honduras expressing interest in Ukraine's defense technologies and drone production.
Both leaders acknowledged the need to increase trade turnover, which is currently minimal but has growth potential. They signed a Joint Statement affirming their commitment to enhance friendly relations and political dialogue while emphasizing the importance of UN principles in achieving peace for Ukraine. This engagement may lead to increased influence and support against external pressures, particularly from Russia in the region.
