Ukraine has repaired over 5.7 million square meters of roads since the start of the year, marking a significant increase in maintenance efforts. The initiative supports logistics and defense capabilities amidst ongoing challenges in frontline regions.

Since the beginning of 2026, Ukraine has completed repairs on over 5.7 million square meters of damaged road surfaces on international and state highways. The Ministry for Development and the State Agency for Reconstruction have increased repair work, employing over 200 teams and nearly 2,000 workers daily.
Repairs on international highways are expected to wrap up by May 1, while national road repairs are slated for completion by June 1.
