Ukraine Increases Engineering Mines and UAV Ammo Procurement in Q1 2026
In Q1 2026, Ukraine's Defense Procurement Agency delivered over 50% of the total 2025 supply of engineering mines and UAV munitions. This rapid scaling of resources aims to enhance frontline strike capabilities and operational efficiency.

In the first quarter of 2026, Ukraine's Defense Procurement Agency supplied more than half of the planned engineering mines and UAV ammunition for the entire year. The Ukrainian Defense Ministry has updated annual requirements and significantly increased purchases in key areas, including FPV drones and reconnaissance UAVs, to enhance battlefield effectiveness.
The procurement system is being transformed to operate with greater transparency and efficiency, emphasizing speed to support frontline units. The strategic focus on engineering mines and UAV munitions enables precise strikes while conserving resources for larger targets. Increased procurement levels are critical for maintaining operational readiness and effectiveness on the battlefield.
