Ukraine to Establish Ten Export Centers for Military Technology in Europe Amid Ongoing Conflict
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced plans to open ten export centers for Ukrainian weapons in Europe by year-end. This initiative positions Ukraine as a producer and exporter of military technologies, particularly drones, shifting its role from a military aid recipient. Ukraine's defense industry has significantly expanded, attracting substantial investments, with military startups raising $129 million in 2025. Despite challenges, such as limited investment due to the ongoing war, the country aims to leverage its military capabilities to become a key player in European defense.

Ukraine is set to establish ten export centers for military technology in Europe by the end of the year, as announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky. This shift aims to transition Ukraine from being a recipient of military aid to a producer and exporter of military technologies, particularly drones.
Currently, Ukrainian factories operate in the UK, Denmark, and Germany, with plans for expansion into the Baltic states. The Ukrainian defense industry has grown rapidly, raising $129 million in investments in 2025 alone.
While the military sector's production capacity is between $35 billion to $40 billion annually, much of it remains underutilized. Exports will be controlled and prioritized for the Ukrainian armed forces. The changes reflect a broader military transformation within Ukraine, positioning it as a potential military technology hub in Europe.
