Ukraine Withdraws from CIS Air Defense and Multiple Treaties under Zelenskyy's Decrees

DEFENSE

Ukraine has officially withdrawn from the Agreement on the Establishment of an Integrated Air Defense System of the CIS, as per Decree No. 203/2026 signed by President Zelenskyy. The withdrawal includes 30 treaties, notably those concerning the return of cultural property and the rights of deported individuals.

Additional withdrawals pertain to agreements related to anti-ballistic missile systems, the elimination of intermediate-range missiles, and various cooperative frameworks addressing crime, drug trafficking, and terrorism. This move marks a significant step in Ukraine's disengagement from CIS agreements established since the early 1990s.
