Ukraine's Defense Industry Secures Over UAH 6.6 Billion in Preferential Loans
Ukrainian defense enterprises have received 108 loans totaling UAH 6.665 billion under a Ministry of Defence program. An additional 81 applications worth UAH 6.320 billion are pending. The loans support the entire production cycle, including development and modernization, with a capped interest rate of 5% annually. This initiative aims to enhance defense production capabilities and was established to bolster the economy during the ongoing special period.

Ukrainian defense industry enterprises have secured 108 preferential loans totaling UAH 6.665 billion from the Ministry of Defence to support domestic manufacturers. An additional 81 loan applications amounting to UAH 6.320 billion are currently being reviewed.
The funding covers the full production cycle, including development, manufacturing, repair, and modernization of military equipment and ammunition. The loans are available to critically important defense enterprises, with an effective interest rate set at 5% annually due to state subsidies. This financing initiative was launched in 2024 to enhance weapon production and modernize production capacities.
