In March 2026, Ukraine's F-16 and Mirage 2000 fighters have been pivotal in the conflict against Russia. The Ukrainian Air Force operates nine F-16s and two Mirage 2000-5Fs, with plans to acquire two additional Mirages by the end of Q1 2026.

Notable achievements include the use of APKWS II guided rockets against Russian drones and the deployment of AASM Hammer bombs for ground strikes. The current inventory includes 261 active aircraft, with 34% being fighters. The Ukrainian Air Force ranks 30th globally, while the Russian Air Force ranks 3rd.
