Ultra I&C to Supply Archer Troposcatter Technology for Canadian Armed Forces Trials
Ultra I&C will provide its Archer™ troposcatter system for operational trials with the Canadian Armed Forces, enhancing secure beyond-line-of-sight communications in Arctic and European missions. This deployment supports Canada's Defense Industrial Strategy, focusing on Arctic readiness and Allied defense contributions. The Archer system offers reduced size, weight, power, and cost compared to legacy systems, ensuring advanced encryption and anti-jamming capabilities.

Ultra I&C has been selected to provide its Archer™ troposcatter system for operational trials with the Canadian Armed Forces, aimed at improving secure beyond-line-of-sight communications for missions in the Arctic and Europe. This initiative aligns with the Canadian Defense Industrial Strategy, emphasizing sovereign capability and Arctic readiness.
The Archer system significantly reduces the size, weight, power, and cost of traditional troposcatter equipment while ensuring high encryption and anti-jamming capabilities. Selected by the U.S. Army in June 2025 and subsequently by other Allied militaries, Archer enhances network resiliency for operations in challenging environments.
