Ultra Maritime Advances Submarine Detection with MSARS Technology for UK Navy
Ultra Maritime successfully tested the MSARS sonobuoy to enhance UK submarine detection. This initiative integrates unmanned aerial vehicles to improve surveillance in vast ocean areas.

Ultra Maritime has successfully completed maritime trials of the Multistatic Active Receive Sonobuoy (MSARS) in Scotland, a key component of the UK's submarine detection strategy. Developed with the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory, the MSARS aims to deploy autonomous systems for submarine identification and monitoring.
The integration with unmanned aerial vehicles is intended to enhance underwater exploration while synergizing with manned assets like the Royal Navy's Merlin Mk2 helicopters. Additionally, the company is expanding its global reach through contracts with the U.S.
Navy for the AN/SSQ-125B sonobuoy and a joint venture with Bharat Dynamics Limited for India's naval requirements. These developments are crucial amid increasing Russian submarine activity in the North Atlantic, presenting both strategic advantages and operational risks for maritime security.
