Unitree Robotics IPO and BYD's Humanoid Robot Launch
Unitree Robotics plans to raise 4.2 billion yuan in its IPO, with shares trading expected by mid-August. Concurrently, BYD will debut its first humanoid robots at its Di Space centers, signaling a competitive push in the AI robotics sector.

Unitree Robotics aims to raise approximately 4.202 billion yuan through its upcoming IPO on the Shanghai Stock Exchange's STAR Market, with trading expected to start around mid-August. The offering includes 40,446,434 shares, representing 10% of the total post-listing shares.
The company plans to invest significantly in R&D for intelligent robots, with 2 billion yuan earmarked for robot model development. Meanwhile, BYD is set to unveil its first humanoid robots at Di Space centers in August, enhancing its AI portfolio.
This expansion reflects a growing interest among Chinese automakers in humanoid robotics, providing potential competition to Tesla's Optimus project. The market will closely monitor production capacity and pricing strategies as these developments unfold.
