UP's Industrial Growth Aims for $1 Trillion Economy with Semiconductor and Infrastructure Developments
Uttar Pradesh targets a GSDP of Rs 30.8 lakh crore by 2025, driven by industrial growth and infrastructure developments. Under Yogi Adityanath's leadership, unemployment has decreased to 2.4%, and factories have increased to over 27,000. Key initiatives include the establishment of a ₹3,700-crore semiconductor facility by HCL Group and Foxconn in Greater Noida, expected to generate 3,500 jobs by 2028.

Uttar Pradesh aims for a GSDP of Rs 30.8 lakh crore by 2025, significantly up from Rs 14.5 lakh crore when Yogi Adityanath became CM. Unemployment has fallen from 6.4% to 2.4%, and the number of factories has risen from over 15,000 to more than 27,000, with exports exceeding Rs 2 lakh crore.
The state is promoting its industrial ecosystem through infrastructure improvements and incentives, particularly in Purvanchal and Bundelkhand. A notable project is the ₹3,700-crore semiconductor facility by HCL Group and Foxconn in Greater Noida, set to produce 20,000 wafers monthly and create over 3,500 jobs by 2028, marking a significant advancement in India's semiconductor landscape.
