Urban Outfitters Expands Navy Yard HQ, Plans to Hire 1,050 Employees
Urban Outfitters is set to hire 1,050 workers across its Navy Yard headquarters and a new Bucks County facility. This growth follows two decades of presence in the Navy Yard, with the company currently employing over 2,500 staff across 15 buildings.

Urban Outfitters announced plans to hire 450 new employees at its Navy Yard headquarters and an additional 600 at a forthcoming Bucks County facility, expected to open by 2028. The company has been operating at the Navy Yard for 20 years, having relocated 500 employees there in 2004.
The recent opening of a 117,000-square-foot photo studio highlights its ongoing expansion. Despite facing challenges such as declining sales and workforce criticisms, Urban returned to profitability last year.
The company has invested approximately $40 million in its new studio, which consolidates operations to improve efficiency. The Navy Yard campus includes amenities like sports courts and green spaces, promoting employee engagement.
