Ursa Major Completes $25 Million SRM Program with U.S. Navy and OSC
Ursa Major has finalized its Solid Rocket Motor Manufacturing Pathfinder Program with the U.S. Navy and OSC, marking a $25 million joint investment. The program successfully achieved critical manufacturing milestones, establishing a foundation for future U.S. Navy systems requiring 10-inch diameter solid rocket motors.

The Solid Rocket Motor (SRM) Manufacturing Pathfinder Program concluded in February 2026, reflecting a collaborative investment of $25 million from Ursa Major, the U.S. Navy, and OSC. Key achievements include the design and successful static firing of an HLG 10-inch SRM prototype and the development of a proprietary propellant.
This program was structured to enhance Ursa Major's SRM production capabilities and refine its modular manufacturing process, Lynx, which supports subsystem commonality and reduces costs. Close collaboration with various Navy divisions ensured alignment with operational needs and rapid qualification of technologies critical for missile systems.
