U.S. Air Force Seeks Contractors for International Pilot Training Program

DEFENSE

The U.S. Air Force's Air Education and Training Command (AETC) is seeking contractors to assist in training foreign pilots as part of a new Initial Pilot Training initiative. A Request for Information (RFI) was issued to identify sources for aircrew and maintenance training related to commercial and demilitarized aircraft.

The Air Force Security Assistance Training Squadron (AFSAT) oversees training for over 9,000 students from more than 142 nations, with a portfolio valued at $10.2 billion. The training will cover cargo handling, flight planning, and navigation, excluding fighter training. The RFI lists various aircraft types, emphasizing the need for contractors to demonstrate understanding of the market and training methodologies.
