US Ambassador Visits LNG Terminal on Krk Island, Croatia
US Ambassador Nicole McGraw visited the LNG terminal on Krk Island, Croatia, highlighting its role in regional energy supply. The terminal has been expanded to process 6.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas annually, significantly increasing its capacity. It facilitates the import of US liquefied natural gas (LNG), enhancing energy independence in the region.

US Ambassador Nicole McGraw visited the LNG terminal on Krk Island, Croatia, a key energy supply point in the region. The terminal, recently expanded, can now process 6.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas annually, more than double its original capacity.
This development allows significant volumes of US liquefied natural gas (LNG) to enter the Croatian energy system, contributing to greater energy independence in the region. Ambassador McGraw emphasized the importance of US gas in strengthening energy supply security in Europe. A central element of the terminal is the Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU), which enables storage and processing of LNG before it enters the regional network.
