The U.S. Army has allocated $7.5 million to Aware for the development of custom in-ear hearing protection and biometric sensing solutions. This funding, supported by Georgia's congressional delegation, will enable the Army to deploy tailored ear protection utilizing 3D scans of soldiers' ear canals. Aware aims to enhance warfighter readiness and prevent hearing loss while creating high-quality manufacturing jobs in rural Georgia.

The U.S. Army has secured a $7.5 million program increase for Aware's custom in-ear hearing protection and biometric systems, facilitated by Georgia's congressional delegation. This funding supports the Army's service-level fielding of tailored ear solutions using 3D digital scans of soldiers' ear canals.
Aware plans to work with the U.S. Army to deploy these systems across training and operational units. The initiative aims to reduce hearing loss, a prevalent service-connected disability, while providing high-tech job opportunities in rural Georgia. Aware's technology also includes biometric sensing capabilities for continuous physiological monitoring.
