U.S. Army Launches Unified DevSecOps Platform for Enhanced Software Development
The U.S. Army has initiated the Enterprise DevSecOps Platform (DSO-P) to streamline software development, providing a unified approach for over 4,000 developers across 100+ organizations. This initiative is designed to improve the speed and security of software delivery to warfighters by embedding automated scanning and supporting continuous Authority to Operate paths.

The U.S. Army's Enterprise DevSecOps Platform (DSO-P), launched in early 2026, consolidates software development under a single framework for over 4,000 developers. Key features include automated security scans and CI/CD pipelines, enhancing the speed at which software is delivered to troops.
The platform operates on AWS with tools like GitLab Ultimate and SonarQube, aiming to minimize operational silos and reduce authorization timelines significantly. Partnerships with PEO Enterprise will further enhance testing integration by fiscal 2026.
While the initiative represents a significant shift in Army software development, challenges such as scaling and legacy system integration remain. The unified platform aims to eliminate redundancy and provide a common baseline for all development efforts.
