U.S. Army Seeks Commercial Solutions for Electronic Warfare and Signals Intelligence
The U.S. Army has launched the Rapid Electromagnetic Warfare & Signals Intelligence Commercial Solutions Offering (REWSI) to enhance electronic warfare and signals intelligence capabilities. This initiative encourages industry participation to provide flexible, commercial technologies to meet operational needs swiftly.

The Army's REWSI initiative aims to create a library of vetted commercial technology for enhancing its electromagnetic spectrum capabilities. Open for 12 months, the continuous evaluation of proposals will allow commanders to select tools based on specific mission requirements.
The emphasis on commercial solutions arises from the Army's need to modernize since the 2014 Crimea conflict, moving away from lengthy development cycles. As the REWSI approach allows for rapid integration, it also reflects a broader Pentagon priority for quicker acquisitions across various military domains. The initiative's success will depend on the viability of solutions, funding, and operational demands.
