The U.S. Army, through Army Contracting Command-Detroit Arsenal, published a Sources Sought Notice on February 20, 2026, seeking industry input for the production of a firing mechanism used in 60mm mortar systems, specifically for the M225A1 and M225.

The Army requires 55 units per year for operational sustainment. Concurrently, the Army is also seeking industry participation to modernize 12 to 24 UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters annually. This involves upgrades to existing systems and component overhauls. Responses for both initiatives are due by March 9, 2026.
